Why it exists

National associations translate international standards into local practice, legislation and labour market. That fills a gap standards deliberately leave open.

Competency profiles, job architectures, benchmarking initiatives and practice guidance from bodies including FMN (Netherlands), IWFM (United Kingdom), DFM (Denmark) and EuroFM as a network organisation.

Main concepts

Local legislation often determines more of FM practice than an international standard.
Association material is not auditable in the way a standard is.
