Space Management

Space management studies the tracking, allocation and optimisation of floors, rooms and settings: occupancy norms, space typology, allocation rules and the data structure holding it together. The field supplies the data layer on which CAFM and IWMS systems run.

Without a reliable space database, every question about occupancy, allocation or portfolio is guesswork. For FM, space management is the operational precondition for grounding both workplace strategy and property decisions in fact rather than in a floor plan that no longer matches reality.
